The Expansion of the Arak Sodium Sulphate Factory

The Expansion of the Arak Sodium Sulphate Factory

Considering the significant increase in Iran's sodium sulphate powder consumption, which is mostly used for domestically-produced and exported detergents as well as newly-constructed glass factories that use the flute method, and to prevent its excessive importation, the company was founded in the second half of 2004 to execute the Arak Sodium Sulphate Factory expansion project to an annual nominal capacity of 30,000 tons.
This project, with previously completed facilities and a solubilization unit, was completed in 14 months with an investment of over 75 billion IRR and the staff's relentless cooperation and efforts, and trial production began in December 2005 and reached nominal capacity in two months.
After the expansion and considerations for increasing production capacity at both lines, the Arak Sodium Sulphate Complex's current total annual output is approximately 126,000 tons, which meets the domestic needs with some being exported to the Persian Gulf states.
With three sodium sulphate production units in Garmsar and Arak and an annual capacity of 185,000 tons, Amlah Iran Mineral Co is Iran's largest producer of sodium sulphate.
This company has received the industrial sodium sulphate standard emblem in Iran, and its products are used for detergent and glass production, especially using the flute method that requires coarse-grained pure sodium sulphate.
